WILD Program Sales Fundraiser (14 images)

Pictured are volunteer kids and parents selling MN WILD programs to raise money for the River Falls Youth Hockey Association. The game was on Sunday, Feb. 17th that featured the MN WILD vs. Nashville Predators. The volunteers enjoyed watching 2 periods of WILD action after the sales promotion period was over. The MN WILD prevailed in a 5 -4 OT victory thanks to final surge by Marion Gaborik scoring with 4.4 seconds remaining in OverTime.

River Falls Youth Hockey Association Fall Registration

Fall Hockey registration will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 10^th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Wildcat Centre.

River Falls Youth Hockey Association Hockey Equipment Swap

Wildcat Centre - Wednesday, September 10^th, 2008 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

§ • We reserve the right to reject equipment that we see as un-sellable

§ • 25% of the proceeds from each item will go back to the association

§ • Money can be picked up at the concession stand starting Monday, September 29^th thru Sunday, October 5^thOR You are welcome to donate all the proceeds of your sale to RFYHA.

§ • Equipment not sold must be picked up by Sunday, October 5^thor it will become the property of RFYHA

§ • Equipment for sale must be dropped off at the Wildcat Centre on Sunday, September 7^th from 6pm to 8pm

Arena Clean-up/fix-it days

Dear Association Members,

As most of you know, our building is one of only a few in the State that is entirely owned, maintained and run it’s Association. We have no paid employee’s, with a few exceptions; everything that happens at the Arena is done entirely by you, the members. We get no assistance from the State, County or City. It's a big job to say the least.

As the season approaches, there are a few maintenance items at the Arena that could use your help. We are trying to organize a couple of opportunities for you help out with these items.

Wednesday, August 27th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm(or 8:30)
Saturday, September 6th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm

If any of you can help during these times it would be appreciated, even if it's only for an hour or two. Please contact me by calling me at either 715-426-6576 (home) or 715-220-8575 (cell) so we can make sure we have items assigned and we are ready to go. We will have a few small jobs that the kids could help with, but would like to limit the age to 12 and over.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of Youth Hockey in River Falls . Without all of you, there would be no Wildcat Centre.

The seminar pre-registration process will be different this season. To register as an official with USA Hockey, join WHOA, pre-register for a seminar, and learn about screening requirements, go to the new WHOA website at www.wihoa.org. WHOA would like to thank the many local organizations that are sponsoring these seminars. They are donating countless hours of ice time and classrooms to support officiating in Wisconsin!

RFYHA Golf Tournament

The 8th Annual RFYHA Golf Tournament was held at the River Falls Golf Club on Wednesday, July 23rd. It was a beautiful day for golf. We want to thank our sponsors and for our participants for making this a fantastic day of golf and fundraising to help support youth hockey in River Falls.

RFYHA Summer Pancake Feeds

Thank You to Bo's N Mine, to the Association members that worked the pancake feed and to all that joined us for breakfast! Look for more of these opportunities in the upcoming 08/09 season!

WHO: River Falls Youth Hockey

WHAT: Pan Cake Feed Fund Raisers

WHEN: June 14, Saturday 8 AM to 10 AM

July 26, Saturday 8 AM to 10 AM

WHERE: BO’s N MINE Restaurant, River Falls WI.

WHY: To enjoy a great hot breakfast, have fun, and raise money for your hockey association.

Since, we are in our off season and not gathering at the rink, it is difficult to pre-sell tickets. So tickets will be available at the door.

The price is the same as before $ 6. No volunteers needed. Invite friends and family, come on down, relax and enjoy!
